The GO GO 168 installation at the Qianfeng CPC gas station blends local culture, humor, and resilience. Inspired by the idea that “a gas station is not just for fueling, but also a place to move forward” (reflected in the Taiwanese phrase “催落去”), the project carries the message: “CPC Taiwan fuels you, and you fuel Taiwan.”

The gas station itself was heavily damaged during the 2016 Southern Taiwan earthquake, with cracked walls and compromised structure. During the renovation, CPC Taiwan not only restored the building but also transformed it into a green, sustainable facility, giving it a new cultural role. Beyond refueling vehicles, the station has become a “Good Looking Corner” in the city—a place where people can pause, experience art, and engage with the community.

Indonesian artist Eddi Prabandono created GO GO 168, a playful sculpture reflecting both the ubiquitous scooter culture of Taiwan and the idea of “fueling up” in life. Constructed from stainless steel and painted like a scooter, the artwork stands 3 meters tall, 3 meters long, and 1.1 meters wide. Through humor and whimsy, the piece invites viewers to smile, connect across cultures, and consider everyday spaces in new ways.

With the theme “Forward at Qianfeng”, the installation emphasizes the gas station’s friendly and leisurely atmosphere, encouraging visitors to stop, linger, and experience a moment of reflection and joy within the urban landscape.
