The Changhua County Art Museum presents “Dr. Hsu Hong Yen’s Collection Back to Natal Home”, an exhibition centered on the art collection of Dr. Hsu Hong Yen, founder of Sun Ten Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Returning to his hometown of Changhua, this exhibition honors Dr. Hsu’s deep love for and lifelong dedication to Taiwanese culture.
Born in Hemei, Changhua, Dr. Hsu (1917–1991) was the first Taiwanese scientist to earn a doctorate in pharmacy in Japan. A pioneer in the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, he was also a passionate patron of the arts, preserving an extensive collection of important Taiwanese artworks.
Curated by Professor Hsiao Chong-Ray, the exhibition features 106 works by 97 artists, organized into four thematic sections:

- Radiant Horizons – Crossing Generations
- Brilliant New Visions – Postwar Innovations
Through a rich display of paintings and historical documents, the exhibition narrates the life of Dr. Hsu and highlights key chapters in the history of Taiwanese art.
