Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the 8th Public Art Awards ceremony took place at the Guangfu Auditorium in Taipei’s Zhongshan Hall on October 6th. The event welcomed finalists, artists, related participating teams, the cultural and artistic community, and academia. Winners were announced on-site for seven major awards: ‘Education Promotion Award,’ ‘Public Participation Award,’ ‘Environmental Integration Award,’ ‘Artistic Creation Award,’ ‘Jury Special Award,’ ‘Private Initiative Award,’ and ‘Excellence Award.’
The projects submitted for this edition of the awards vividly showcased the brilliant results achieved in the 30 years of implementing public art policies. A total of 267 projects were submitted, and after a thorough evaluation process spanning 5 months and 3 stages, 16 outstanding projects emerged as winners.
