The construction of TSSH Library and Information Center symbolizes the school’s spirit of tradition and legacy and the meaning of opening up a new era. The library is the axis of the school’s education assistance; therefore, to provide a pleasant environment to study and read for the students and to improve students’ learning efficiency and interests through various facility and equipment, this project utilizes this spirit to plan and design for the school’s public art creation and installation.

This work uses ceramics as its primary medium—shaped from clay and hardened through intense firing—symbolizing the way students at this university are molded and refined through education.
In Zone A, the use of natural stone textures represents the unpolished yet genuine qualities cultivated during students’ high-school years, like raw ore within a mountain—waiting to be carved and shaped into something of value.
Zone B features ceramic panels of varying textures installed throughout the architectural space, incorporating imagery that reflects the university’s various academic fields, thereby enhancing both the unity and representational meaning of the work.
Zone C centers on themes such as oracle bones, bamboo slips, woodblock printing, movable type, bound volumes, and digital information, illustrating the historical evolution of the written word.
