After continuous evolution and development, public art now is no longer art sculptures in public spaces but directs to public issues, emphasizes public participation, interaction, and symbiosis, concerns deep and substantial urban environment aesthetic virtues, and challenges the motive of inner creation and energy of local artists. This year we especially plan the special topic “public art talents foster program” to analyze foreign and local artists’ participation and current situation, cultivate art administrators, open classes and majors in such layers, and review the problems public art face in our country and introduce foreign methods in hope to elevate the quality of public art in the future and inject new thoughts.
