School bears the duty of community social education. Through the creation of public art, more artistic seeds will be inspired and art factors will be spread to the living spaces of neighboring community, which will elevate the public’s need of a beautiful living environment. This public art project uses the method of selecting school-based artist, hoping to deeply interact with students and faculties in order to stimulate collective experience and to create new values.

Dreams Take Flight (Ou Chih-Cheng)
2

Dreams Take Flight combines the imagery of jigsaw puzzles and sky lanterns. The puzzle pieces represent the idea that achievement comes from personal effort—each piece placed step by step to complete a dream. The sky lantern symbolizes hope and the longing to see one’s dreams rise into the sky.
The dark night background reflects the nighttime scenery of the Nangang District, presenting a fresh, urbanized visual identity. Overall, the work aims to convey a sense of dreams continuously growing upward, expanding and flourishing.

Joyful Growth – Little Saplings (Wu Chien-Fu)
3

Inspired by the growth of young saplings, this work integrates organic forms with rich colors to express the importance of diversity in elementary education. The outstretched arms resemble children reaching out to embrace the future and friendship.
The varying heights symbolize different grade levels in elementary school. Growing together from the same soil and learning side by side on campus, the children live in harmony, grow happily and healthily, and move forward together toward their future aspirations.

Light of the Future (Chang Nai-Wen)

4

A luminous Tree of Wisdom draws upon the brilliance of Nangang Elementary School’s educational philosophy, transforming it into crystalline forms on the tree that refract dazzling, seven-colored light. This imagery symbolizes the pure and transparent essence of educational outcomes and the cyclical process of giving back within education.
The EDU Spaceship leads a mission of rational exploration, navigating between the realms of technological logic and human perception, and guiding learners toward a universe-like world of limitless possibilities.

Technology is everywhere—perhaps we will encounter it just around the next corner. It exists simply and naturally, accompanying us in everyday life.
Through imagined imagery, this work responds to the boundless world within children’s minds, a world that cannot be confined by the limitations of reality.

Sunward Suite (Lee Yun-Shan)

6

Using the imagery of growing saplings, this work brings together a dialogue between seeds, sunlight, and air to create a new campus landmark. Plants facing the morning sun stand quietly in a corner of the campus, heads lifted toward the sky and roots grounded in the earth—constantly stretching upward and absorbing the essence of nature.
The plants along the railings are like children, taking in the nourishment of the campus, learning and growing within the space, and maturing with joy. The rich colors and materials harmonize with the environment, while reflections of sunlight echo children’s innocence. In front of the Sunward Building, the piece sings a gentle Sunward Suite.
