The characteristics of this project, agricultural industry, may not be as important and prosperous at the current society, but not to deny, the future development of the agricultural industry will still be effective to the whole economy, which Taiwan evidently gains a huge success at this area. For example, the improvement in the breeds of agricultural products and the farming teams sent to allied countries are all results of the hardworking of Taiwan’s agricultural biotechnology industry. Base on the industrial traits of the Agricultural Biotechnology Park and and its sustainability spirit and the profession of the researchers working here and their passion in life, science, agricultural technology, and biotechnology research, the theme of the public art installation is set as “the praise and gift of Shennong (Divine Farmer).”

Sitting on the Rock — Yayoi Kusama
Through her signature pumpkin motif, Yayoi Kusama conveys a message of peace and love to all humanity, scientific development, and a bright future. The pumpkin symbolizes passion and joy, and its placement in the Agricultural Biotechnology Park—a land full of infinite future possibilities and prosperity—represents the coexistence of art and technology, as well as hope and blessings for the park.

Sky of Seeds — Lin Shun-Long
This work uses the “seed,” the origin of plant life, as a metaphor for life beginning from a tiny point and absorbing nutrients to grow and thrive. The flowing beams of light in the piece represent life’s yearning for sunlight and aspiration toward the sky, symbolizing a tribute to life and the imagination of its continuous existence throughout the universe.

The Symphony of Life — Lin Shun-Long
The piece features clean, organic forms that symbolize the propagation and transmission of life, spreading and merging like spores in the vast land. It resonates with the growth rhythm of surrounding trees and plants in the park, infusing vitality into the Agricultural Biotechnology Park and highlighting the diversity and dynamism of life, showcasing the beauty and rhythm inherent in living beings.
