The “Made in Taiwan – Young Artist Discovery” section was a newly established feature of the 2008 Taipei International Art Fair, organized with full support from the Council for Cultural Affairs. Through a competitive selection process, eight emerging Taiwanese artists—Lai Yi-Chih, Huang Pei-Ying, Chiu Chien-Jen, Chu Fang-Yi, Lai Pei-Yu, Ho Meng-Juan, Wu Geng-Jhen, and Chang En-Tzu—were chosen to participate. Each artist was provided with an individual exhibition booth, offering ample space to present their work, along with coordinated media promotion. The aim was to build connections between young Taiwanese artists and both domestic and international galleries and agents, creating a platform that bridges artists and the art market while increasing the international visibility of Taiwan’s next generation of creative talent.
