The Zuoying Navy Veteran’s Village in southern Taiwan, which is the largest and most historically significant, is a historical product of specific environmental changes and carries special cultural value and contemporary meaning. To revitalize and renovate this important cultural area, artist Wen-Hsin Wang was invited to design a landscape art installation called《環‧跡》 around the original roundabout on Wei 6th Road. This work skillfully engages in a dialogue between history and contemporary landscapes, responding to circular imagery with circular arcs of grass slopes and extending in all directions. Objects from the former village crystallize here in the form of collective walls.《環‧跡》is not just an artistic presentation; it is also a medium that carries the memories of the villagers.
