The 2024 Art Maker Festival, the annual highlight of Yilan County Chung Hsing Cultural and Creative Park, once again presents an aesthetic experience where art and technology intertwine. Themed “Continuation of Weaving: Roaming Around the Artistic Wonderland”, the festival is organized by the Yilan County Cultural Affairs Bureau and curated and produced by Blue Dragon Art Company.
The festival features immersive environments constructed from paper art, large-scale sculptural installations, and technology-based artworks. Incorporating 5G connectivity, it offers real-time interactive experiences across 11 digital art creations, inviting visitors to explore through playful, immersive virtual journeys.

Through sensors and sound/motion detection, audiences can influence the generative visuals in real time—directly or indirectly becoming part of the evolving artwork.
Visitors are invited to draw with their fingertips, as if sketching their memories into existence with the lightest of gestures.

The festival also emphasizes community engagement, with collaborative projects developed in partnership with local neighborhoods and Indigenous communities in Yilan, resulting in a rich and meaningful body of work.
By donning wearable VR devices, visitors can step into immersive virtual environments where the artworks come alive. No longer confined to passive observation, the audience actively shapes the work through their participation. This innovative approach blurs the boundary between physical reality and virtual imagination, offering new dimensions of interaction and expression.
Beloved by visitors of all ages, on-site graffiti walls and adorable large-scale inflatable art installations are featured at Building No.54 and Nan-jung Plaza.
