This year we adopt craft and application as the concept for the starting point of artistic creation. Through the call of submission activity, we gladly invite artists from all over the world, and have appointed 10 groups of land art creation along with 2 internationally famous artists; Wen-Fu Yu and Keui-Chih Lee create to adorn with Zhuangwei local cultural characteristics, which outcomes to be White Dune with Green and Kelau Sand Waves. White Dune with Green consists of 100 thousand white-washed bamboo sticks, which simulate a snow scene on the sand dunes. Within the work are tunnels reserved, which one is abled to walk through the trails and enter the art piece in order to perceive the poetic, graceful mood closer in person. In addition, Kelau Sand Waves is assembled with the weavings of driftwoods, which allows the sunlight rays in to create shadows and silhouettes similar to netted melons, which is also what Zhuangwei is known for. Watching the light and shadow drifting through time, one appreciates the serendipity within nature. Twelve pieces of large land art work are installed around Zhuangwei Kelau Sapo. Through land art, farmers market, jaunts, tour guides, and such various activities, the local community and industry are connected with land art.
